Woods or Mickleson? Can they both be winners? Maybe... Woods won six times this year, his first year back after ACL surgery (I have had that surgery and it is a lot of work to recover). By everyone's standard that is an incredible year. That is the type of year that some players dream of. Player of the year for certain. But Tiger has taught us to judge him by a higher standard. A standard never seen before. Do you think the media would have called a six win season a failure for Nicklaus because he didn't win a major? I doubt it... I wasn't there for it but I highly doubt it. Tiger Woods was so consistent this year I was really impressed. Outside of the 2000 season he played his best all around golf this year. What I like the most was how he was putting a higher premium on driving accuracy towards the end of the year. When he gets his driving stats back to what they were in 2000 he might just get all 4 majors in one year.
That leaves us with Mickleson. None of us can put ourselves in his shoes, what he went through, not only his wife but his mother. Both diagnosed with Breast Cancer. My gosh... that is a tough thing to deal with for that entire family. Golf becomes so insignificant in an instant. He finished 3rd on the money list and won 3 times including this last week. And he looked incredible in the final round at the Tour championship. We all know he is looking forward to next year and what might be because he finished second to Woods again this year. Sorry Phil, I was pulling for you but Tiger, well is Tiger.

TIGER CRUSHES THE FIELD
Tiger crushed the field and won again at Cog Hill. He is an enigma in some ways. He looks like he hits the ball from team to green as bad as anyone. But his short game is sooo good along with his recovery ability. His skills are unmatched in history. He also puts like a machine and has the mental ability to not care where the ball goes but focuses on execution. Amazing!
My call for the Fed Ex Cup... Tiger Woods!
